This week, we reflect on key moments when Israel chose worship over worry and rededication over rush—even in the face of danger. Joshua led the people to pause for covenant renewal, Passover, altar-building, and worship while enemies surrounded them and battles raged. Today, we face different pressures, but the temptation is the same: to prioritize the urgent over the eternal. In our fast-paced, achievement-driven lives, it’s easy to neglect time with God. Yet, these sacred pauses—morning worship, family altar, quiet gratitude—are where strength is renewed. They remain our greatest investment in a world that constantly demands more.
