Visit

Every Saturday morning around the world, Seventh-day Adventists gather together in community to worship Jesus through music, prayer and Bible teachings.

The day starts with Sabbath School, usually at 9:30am. For children, there are songs, stories, crafts and fun activities. For the adults there are smaller groups where the Bible is read and discussed in a less formal setting than a typical church service. Here audience participation is welcomed. You can ask questions and learn more.

The church’s main worship program usually runs from 11am to noon. Singing, prayer and a sermon are almost guaranteed but depending on the week, you might be treated to special music, drama, a children’s story or other creative expression.

Church really is for everyone and we’d love you to join us!

The Venue

Yes, our church is air-conditioned.

Seating

Seating in the main church consists of traditional wooden pews. A limited number of cushions are supplied for your comfort or feel free to bring your own!

Resources

There are some Bibles and Hymnals available for use. However, you may want join in singing or Bible readings by following the words on the screen.

Baptisms

The main church contains a baptismal font for those wishing to be baptised in a church setting. The water is typically heated during the colder months or at your request.

Kitchen facilities

The hall in the back of the church contains a well equipped kitchen to serve the needs of visitors and members. Where possible, we ask that you pre-cook your meal at home where it can then be reheated here in a timely manner.

Parking

There is a reasonably sized off-street parking area within the church grounds. This is accessed via John Street. Street parking is also available on John and Sydney Streets. We request that you please do not park on the grass footpath located on John Street.

Weddings and funerals

There have been a number of enquiries regarding hiring either the church or hall.

The church itself is generally available for hire for weddings and funerals. Each request for its use is subject to limited availability on certain days and Board approval.

Unfortunately we cannot approve regular usage such as worship services or vespers for other church bodies. Likewise, the hall cannot be approved for regular use and may only be available for very specific cases.
