God didn’t just rescue Israel from Egypt to bring them to a land—He brought them to Himself. That was always His goal: relationship before destination. “I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself” (Ex. 19:4, NIV). His first priority wasn’t geography but intimacy. Just as in Eden, when God searched for Adam and Eve after their fall, He still seeks us when we drift. He calls out, “Where are you?” (Gen. 3:9), yearning to restore what was lost. Jesus echoes that call: “Come to Me... and I will give you rest” (Matt. 11:28). Our response determines everything.
